SUMMARY:“Hair Styling” on Women’s Day to make them Bold & Beautiful look
DESCRIPTION:Suryaputry Rashmi Malhotra \nChairperson TOF\, \nInternational Women’s Day is celebrated every year to honor women and girls across the globe. The OM Foundation also celebrates it every year to support the message of improving health and well being of all women. \nThis year we celebrated it in a very different way. We organised “Hair Styling” event on 9th March 2024 in association with Varun Attri Academy \,who is famous for his hair styling. Girls who belong to underprivileged families were given beautiful hair cuts to bring good look and confidence in them. Most of the family earnings of these families are spent on other household works\, many hidden demands of these girls remain unattended. Therefore in wake of fulfilling their inner desires to look beautiful like others\, I organised this program. No matter how much women prefer to lean\, to be protected and supported \,they must know their individuality. \nAnd the result was so good that every girl was very happy and looked Bold & Beautiful after completion of the hair cutting and drying. Miss Preet \, co-ordinator of Acedemy was honored by the chairperson with a memento to welcome her on the Women’s Day. All girls were given beautiful Hair Bands and pencil boxes. SUMMARY:HOLI Hai !!
DESCRIPTION:HOLI festival  is held on the last full moon day of the month. This festival sees people smearing bright colours on friends and family and offering prayers. Holi is based on the Hindu legend of Holika\, a female demon\, who tries to kill her nephew Prahlad in fire because he worships God Vishnu. But she gets burned in the fire and Prahlad is saved. Giving a divine message of victory of Good over Evil. \nNext day  Holi is celebrated with more fun and play. Children of OM Pathshala also played Holi with smearing herbal colours of gulal on each other faces and wishing Happy Holi and hailing HOLI HAI…with great enthusiasm. \nChairperson Suryaputry Rashmi Malhotra and teachers also participated in the festival. She believes that all festivals are carriers of peace\, joy\, love and prosperity in the communities. India is one of the largest countries to celebrate numerous festivals. India being a very cultural and diverse country we must celebrate all festivals to bring unity in diversity. SUMMARY:New School bags & Copies for underprivileged children on Baisakhi 2024
DESCRIPTION:BAISAKHI is celebrated among the Hindus and Sikhs\, it is a spring harvest festival that’s celebrated on 13th or 14th every year. The historical significance of this day is quite intriguing. On this auspicious day Sikh khalsa panth was established by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This day is very auspicious therefore every year The OM Foundation also celebrates this day as a new start of the classes of Om Pathshala. \nApril is the month of starting new classes in the schools. Every child buys new books \, school bag\, copies and other study material. But the children of less privileged families many times fail to have this advantage of getting new bags and copies. Therefore to bring happiness in their lives too\, like the other privileged children of community \, chairperson\, Rashmi Malhotra\, gives new school bags\, copies and registers to underprivileged children on Baisakhi to start fresh in their classes. \nThis year 2024 Inspector Satish Kumar\, SHO\, Naraina South West Delhi\, graced the event with his presence. He addressed the children and motivated them to study hard and become responsible citizens of the country. He praised the work of the Foundation and appreciated madam Rashmi for her unconditional love and devotion towards the education and health of the underprivileged children. \nIn the program students recited poems on Baisakhi and also talked on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative. Smt. Veenu Karwal attended the event as Guest of Honor and gave bags to the children along with Mr. Pankaj Sachar \, chief guest and chairperson. SUMMARY:Ann Daan to celebrate birthday of Rashmi Maa (chairperson) of TOF
DESCRIPTION:Ann Daan is Maha daan. It is a noval way of getting blessings of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna blesses the devotee who renders a little service to him.. \nTherefore chairperson and Founder Trustee of The Om Foundation Charitable Trust\, Surya putry Rashmi Malhotra celebrated her birthday on 13th December 2023 by giving food to underprivileged children and recieved blessings from Lord Krishna. On this occasion Delicious food was cooked for children and  hot food was served to them in plates by the members of the foundation. \nOn this occasion Smt. Alpona Nanda and Gayetry Roongta helped the foundation in conducting this event effortlessly. Children loved the food and enjoyed snacks and chocolates after the lunch. They chanted auspicious Gayetry Mantra before taking food and wished Rashmi Maa happy birthday after the lunch. \nThere is a phrase that imparting literacy to the needy and underprivileged is equally important as Ann daan because Ann can feed a person for one time but education can fulfill his needs for his lifetime. We thank The OM Foundation for their noble service of giving service of free Education and Nutrition to the underprivileged children of needy families living in the clusters in Delhi.
